Confidential Document Shredding
Bay Adelaide Centre is pleased to offer an on site confidential “paper only” shredding service to all office tenants. Tenant confidential material will be stored in secured containers within their office space – container locations are determined by the tenant. Secured shredding containers are available in two sizes: 32 and 65 gallon. Collected material will be transferred to a monitored, locked and secured holding cage on the loading dock. Brookfield’s waste management provider, GFL (a bonded vendor), maintains the only access to the secured room and conducts the onsite secured shredding.
Tenants who are part of the Secured Shredding Program will receive scheduled pick-ups, or can call on a required basis. To arrange a pick-up, tenants are to contact 310-SERV, request Maintenance – Shredding Services and notify the service centre representative of the location of the pick-up. Delivery and pick-up of containers is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. A handling charge of $9 per 32-gallon containers and $12 per 65-gallon containers and $3 per bankers box will be included in the monthly tenant billing each time a pick-up request is processed. A Confidential Document Destruction Certificate will be issued by GFL for every container processed.
Secured shredding of non-paper materials is also available. (Please refer to E-waste Policy).
Green, 65-gallon containers are also available for all recyclable, non-confidential paper material. All recyclable paper material will automatically be shredded, however, no Confidential Document Destruction Certificate will be provided. To arrange a pick-up, please contact 310-SERV, request Cleaning – Recycling and notify the service centre representative of the location of the pick-up.
