Completed in 1984, Suncor Energy Centre has become one of the most striking office tower complexes in Calgary. Encompassing over 2 million square feet of office and retail space, the West Tower is the tallest structure in Western Canada, rising 706 feet above street level.

Suncor Energy Centre is a certified green building with a Gold level of certification in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) Existing Buildings: Operations and Maintenance program.

The property is clad in stunning Taivassalo granite imported from Finland, and features broad-flamed Roca Porhino granite plazas, extensive landscaping and seating areas. The towers are connected by a four-storey Atrium, enriched by the extensive use of landscaping, pools, sculpture and a cast bronze statue commemorating the Olympic Torch Relay. The dramatic focal point of the Atrium is the famous Canadian bush plane, the Noorduyn Norseman, suspended from the ceiling. The Norseman, part of the Canadian Aero Space Museum display, exemplifies the spirit of the Canadian bush pilot to which the Atrium is dedicated.
