For nearly a century, State Street has been the financial center of Boston as well as New England. Located at 53 State Street, Exchange Place is the successful union of the historic granite and marble Boston Stock Exchange Building with a new 40-story, reflective glass, modern office tower. The two buildings are connected by a seven-story, glass-enclosed atrium. Together they offer 1.1 million square feet of space which is leased to tenants such as Independence Investments, Citizens Bank, Smith Barney and the law firm of Goodwin Procter.
