Chief Executive Officer of Brookfield Office Properties Inc. since 2002, Ric has been with Brookfield and its predecessors since 1984 in roles of increasing seniority and responsibility. In 2009 he was named Senior Managing Partner & CEO of global real estate holdings for Brookfield Office Properties' affiliate and principle shareholder Brookfield Asset Management.
Ric holds a business degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is on the Executive Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT) and is a long-time board member of the Mental Health Association of New York City. He also serves on the New York City board of Dignitas International, a medical humanitarian organization working in Southern Africa.
Tom Farley
President and Global Chief Operating Officer
Tom Farley was appointed President and Global Chief Operating Officer of Brookfield Office Properties in 2011. Previously, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Canadian Commercial Operations since 2009 and Chief Executive Officer of Australian Commercial Operations since 2010. Prior to these positions, Tom was President and Chief Operating Officer of Canadian Commercial Operations and Senior Vice President, Western Canada, in addition to various senior management positions at Brookfield Office Properties and its affiliates. While at Brookfield Office Properties, Tom has been involved in several major acquisitions including the O&Y portfolio, the landmark Bankers Hall complex, Suncor Energy Centre and Fifth Avenue Place in Calgary.
Prior to joining Brookfield Office Properties, Tom spent twelve years with Morguard Investments in Calgary and Toronto. He holds a CRF designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada, a B.A. from the University of Victoria and has completed the Executive Management Program with the American Management Association.
Dennis Friedrich was appointed President and Global Chief Investment Officer in 2011. Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer of U.S. Commercial Operations since 2009. Prior to that, he was President of Brookfield Office Properties' U.S. Commercial Operations, following two years as Chief Operating Officer of U.S. Commercial Operations. Dennis has been involved with several major acquisitions including the Trizec deal in 2006. Dennis also previously held the role of head of Strategic Initiatives for the U.S. property portfolio.
Prior to joining Brookfield Office Properties, Dennis was co-head of Jones Lang LaSalle's tenant advisory practice in New York. He holds a business degree in finance from Baruch College and is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York.
Mitch Rudin
President and Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Commercial Operations
Prior to joining Brookfield Office Properties in June 2011 as President & Chief Executive Officer, U.S. Commercial Operations, Mitch Rudin spent 21 years at CB Richard Ellis, most recently as president and CEO of CBRE’s Tri-State region. Prior to that he ran the U.S. brokerage operations for CBRE, previously Insignia prior to its acquisition by CBRE. Insignia had previously acquired The Edward S. Gordon Company, where Mitch created and ran the landlord agency practice, growing it to a portfolio of 30 million square feet. Prior to that he ran leasing for a good portion of Tishman Speyer’s New York portfolio. His first job was with the law firm of Davis & Gilbert. Mitch holds an undergraduate degree from Franklin & Marshall College and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. In addition to participating in various not-for-profit activities, Mitch is a governor at the Urban Land Institute, sits on the executive committee of NYU’s Real Estate Institute, and is a board member of the Alliance for Downtown New York.
